Research interest:
Our research focuses on the preparation, characterization, and tuning of low-dimensional organic materials. We use ultra-high vacuum (UHV) organic molecular beam epitaxy (OMBE) growth system, scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and microspectroscopy (STS), and qplus non-contact atomic force microscope (nc-AFM) as the main research methods, which allow high spatial resolution and high energy resolution characterization of organic materials down to atomic and sub-molecular scale. Our research fields include surface physics, surface chemistry, physical chemistry, condensed matter physics, etc.
Achievements:
Dr. Yan has published 19 papers, including 11 first/corresponding-author papers in prestigious research journals, includingScience,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.,Adv. Funct. Mater., andACS Nano. He is a peer-reviewer forAngew. Chem. Int. Ed.、Nat. Commun.、npj Quantum Mater.、CCS Chem、J. Phys. Chem. Lett, etc. He has obtained 6 patents authorized by China, Europe, and Japan in designing and developing instruments for related research fields.
