About the Speaker

Professor Liu Qiang is currently the Deputy Dean of the Tianjin Institute of Immunology, the Deputy Dean of the Tianjin Institute of Neurology, the Director of the Department of Neurodegenerative Diseases, and a member of the Cerebrovascular Department of the Neurology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association. He received his bachelor's and Master's degrees in Clinical Medicine from Nanjing Medical University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Neurology from Barrow Neurological Institute, USA, and served as a postdoctoral fellow in immunology and Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. After returning to China, he worked in the Department of Neurology of Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, engaged in clinical and scientific research work. He focuses on immune mechanisms and clinical interventions in stroke and neuro-immune diseases. He has published as the corresponding author in a number of high-profile journals such as Cell, Nature Neuroscience, Immunity, and Science Translational Medicine.
