Biography:

Dr.Ruizhi Yang is a full professor at College of Energy, Soochow University. She received her B.S. degree and M.S. degree in Materials Science from Hunan University and Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2005). She worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Dalhousie University, Canada, from 2005 to 2008. She then moved to USA, working as a research associate at Stanford University from 2008 to 2011, prior to joining Soochow University.Dr.Ruizhi Yang has published over 60 papers with a total citation of over 5000 times and a H-index of 44 in peer-reviewed international journals. She contributed book chapters for “Handbook of Fuel Cells – Fundamentals, Technology andApplications”@2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd and “Fuel Cells” for book series“Nanostructured Materials for Next-Generation Energy Storage and Conversion” by Springer-Nature, 2018.


Research Interests:

Materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion. We are interested in designing new materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion (including fuel cells, metal-air batteries and Li-ion batteries) at an atomic scale, fundamental understanding of reaction mechani**s in electrochemical processes.

Dr. Ruizhi Yangreceived the Electrochemistry Award for Young Talent, China,in 2013.
